All primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong are eligible to apply to become our Partner Schools

Target grades and subjects

Chinese Language, English Language, Mathematics and Science/General Studies (Science Education component) at Upper Primary (P4 to P6) and Junior Secondary (S1 to S3) levels

Service Objectives

To provide teachers with professional consultation, training, teaching resources, and platforms, thereby enabling the effective implementation of blended learning.

To foster a collaborative learning community among teachers, we regularly organize events aimed at facilitating professional dialogue on teaching methodologies and nurturing an environment of mutual learning, teaching, innovation, and sharing.

We offer information and learning resources to assist parents and students with self-directed learning both online and offline, empowering students to independently explore and acquire new knowledge.

Non-Partner Schools

Participate in the professional training workshops and seminars of the project

Partner Schools

Receive subject-based professional consultation for a chosen subject area (Chinese Language/English Language/Mathematics/Science/General Studies*). *Note that for General Studies, consultation is provided only for the science education component at the Upper Primary level

Enjoy priority registration for the "Blended Learning and Innovation" Certificate Course, with two reserved spots available for each school

Priority access to the project's professional development workshops and seminars for teachers

Join the subject-based teacher learning communities, exchange with peer coaches, and enjoy priority participation in co-learning activities

Leverage the complimentary educational materials created by the project, which encompass instructional videos, lesson plans, and access to the BLISS self-directed learning platform

Opportunities to be invited to participate in networking events, media interviews, promotional videos, etc., to share your experience with the public

Partner School Collaboration Guidelines for the 2023-24 School Year

Partner schools are expected to engage with the project for one academic year (2023-24) and fulfill the following requirements：

Establish a core team of at least five members, led by a member of the school leadership such as a Vice Principal, Assistant Principal, Curriculum Development Officer, Subject Panel Heads, or Subject Deputy Panel Heads, to oversee and coordinate staff involvement in project activities
Arrange for a minimum of two staff members to participate in the "Blended Learning and Innovation" Certificate Course offered by the project, aimed at enhancing their understanding of educational theories and applications and to facilitate the adoption of blended learning in the school
Choose a subject area (Chinese Language, English Language, Mathematics, General Studies with a focus on Science Education, or Science for upper primary or junior secondary levels) to collaborate actively with an assigned Educational Consultant to promote and implement blended learning throughout the support service year (2023-24). This includes：
- Arranging at least two rounds of lesson study, each comprising two planning meetings and two sessions for lesson observation and discussion
- Ensuring at least one staff member shares their teaching experiences in co-learning activities organized by the project
- Committing staff to attend at least one inter-school exchange event related to their subject
Encourage staff participation in co-learning sessions, workshops, and seminars led by the project's Peer Coaches, who specialize in the four Key Learning Areas (Chinese Language, English Language, Mathematics, and Science Education)
Promote the self-learning platform developed by the Project in their school, registering for trial accounts for both staff and students
Participate in project research activities (e.g., questionnaires, group interviews) to provide valuable feedback and data on the practice and support of blended learning

1. 參與混合式課堂實踐

選擇一個科目（高小或初中的中國語文、英國語文、數學、常識（科學教育部分）或科學科），於校內成立核心小組（至少四人，其中一人需是副科主任或以上職級）；並
與科本同儕導師緊密協作，於參與期內：
- 安排至少兩個混合式課堂實踐，建議上、下學期各一。導師會為每個實踐提供最多兩次共同備課會議，以及一次觀課及議課；及
- 安排至少一位同工在實踐課堂後，於計劃舉辦的共學活動中分享經驗

（每間學校只能選擇一個科組接受課堂實踐支援）

2. 修讀「混合式學習及創新證書課程」

安排兩名同工修讀計劃舉辦的「混合式學習及創新證書課程」（費用全免），深造教學理論及應用，並在校內推動混合式教學法。

（修讀課程的同工不需要來自同一科目）

3. 推廣計劃創建的BLISS自學平台，為校內同工及學生註冊試用帳號（費用全免）。

4. 積極參與計劃研究（例如問卷調查、小組訪問），提供有關實踐混合式學習或計劃支援的反饋及/或數據。

5. 鼓勵同工積極參與計劃的共學活動、專業培訓工作坊及講座。

Service Features

Professional Consultation

Each partner school will be paired with an educational consultant to provide professional guidance. The consultant will work closely with the school's core team, considering factors such as the school's environment, student backgrounds, and departmental goals, to develop and recommend support strategies. Through classroom observation and discussion sessions, the consultant will facilitate the transfer of skills and knowledge, aiding the core team in the design, implementation, review, and dissemination of successful blended learning practices to inspire wider adoption among teachers.

Teacher Learning Communities

The project has established four teacher learning communities corresponding to four key learning areas: Chinese Language, English Language, Mathematics, and Science Education, each guided by a group of senior teachers, known as Peer Coaches. These coaches regularly facilitate collaborative lesson planning and lesson plan sharing sessions. Additionally, they foster professional dialogue and resource sharing among teachers through interactions on social media platforms.

Certificate Course

Partner schools will nominate two teachers to participate in a free course co-organized by the Faculty of Education of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Department of Education of the Hong Kong Baptist University. This course is designed to deepen their mastery of blended learning pedagogy and its practical applications while cultivating their leadership skills for spearheading blended and other innovative teaching methods in their schools. Teachers who have completed the course will be awarded a certificate.

Teaching Resources and Platform

The project offers an array of free resources, such as videos and lesson plans, designed to support both teaching and independent learning for teachers and students.

Professional Training

Teachers from partner schools will be given priority to attend professional training workshops and seminars organized by the project. These sessions will address a range of topics, including the use of e-learning tools, fostering students' 21st-century skills, and strategies for supporting students with lower abilities or motivation.

Experience Sharing

We share successful experiences of partner schools in blended learning through different media (e.g. video clips, articles) to all schools in Hong Kong.
